Your cabinets have arrived, now what do you do?

PLEASE inspect all cabinets before your freight carrier leaves. You have the option of refusing shipment if there is obvious visible damage.

A storage or workspace solution is made up of storage cabinets, workbenches, toolboxes, overhead cabinets, backsplashes, counter tops, and other complimentary accessories all properly integrated and installed into a total solution.

Installing a Motorhead Extraordinaire solution is fundamentally straight-forward, but does require a reasonable set of mechanical assembly skills as well as application specific installation knowledge. We have application specific installation instructions, to assist you with your installation, listed in the table below this section.

Helpful Installation Hints

• Get some help! You are installing heavy duty American made products that weight a lot. You will need help moving things around, lining things up, etc.
• Unpack and inspect your shipment for completenes, damage, missing pieces, etc. If there are any issues, call us immediately.
• Remove all drawers and shelves from cabinets. They move about easier and you can get at the sides and tops easier for bolting things together.
• We like to layout a workspace with blue tape to get the look and feel right. Normally we do this during design but you might find it usedful during installation also.
• Download and carefully read the application specific installation instructions for the products you are installing. If you do not find the instructions you need, call us.
• Do not cut corners. Instruction steps are there for a reason; mechanical integrity, safety, etc.
• You will need common maintenanc and repiar tools. We use battery powered impact drivers; they save a lot of work.
• Level everything; front to back and side to side. Use composit material shims to line things up. Recheck the alignments and levels as things come together.
• Bolt everything together as instructed. Use pilot holes when bolting down worktops.
• Reinstall drawers and shelves last. Clean with a mild detergent. Enjoy!!
